BOSS Crane & Rigging moves into Atlanta

Crane, heavy lift and haulage contractor Bennett On Site Services which trades as BOSS Crane & Rigging, has opened a new location in Lake City, Georgia north of group headquarters in McDonough Georgia and closer to central Atlanta.

The new four acre site includes a large and office block , the company has appointed Dave Johnson as director to manage the business. The crane and rigging business was set up by Bennetts in 2014 in Longview, Texas and now runs around 40 cranes with capacities up to 800 tonnes with 200 employees.

President Richard Miller said: “I am excited to welcome Dave Johnson to the BOSS family. Dave brings invaluable experience to the team with his knowledge of the region. His unparalleled commitment to customer service, expertise, and leadership will be instrumental as we grow our presence in Atlanta and continue to deliver exceptional service to our clients.The opening of this branch will also allow us to expand our geographical footprint and offer clients in the region a full package of services from specialised transportation, crane and rigging and rail services all under one umbrella.”

BOSS is a division of the Bennett group, a leading transportation and logistics company that celebrated its 50th anniversary in March under the leadership of co-founder and chief executive Marcia Taylor, having purchased George Bennett Truck Lines in 1974 with her second husband, the late J.D. Garrison. The group is now a $1billion enterprise working on an international basis.
