Rosenbauer expands in Austria

Austrian fire and recovery vehicle manufacturer Rosenbauer has has opened a new equipment shop and service location in Achau, Austria, south of Vienna, to improve support across eastern Austria.

The location was selected for its proximity to Vienna, as well as Slovakia, with good transport links, including nearby motorways and train stations. The leased property provides space for workshop operations, customer vehicles and a shop.
Outside the new facility

Rosenbauer already operates from four other locations in Austria, employing 70 people across Asten in Upper Austria, Neidling in Lower Austria, Graz in Styria and Telfs in the Tyrol.

Chief executive Sebastian Wolf said: “With the opening of the new location in Achau, we are even closer to our customers in eastern Austria. The new location allows us to carry out repairs and services more quickly when needed and to strengthen our communication with customers even further."

Senior vice president for Central and Eastern Europe, Kurt Wandaller added: "The location, size and infrastructure were important criteria for us when looking for a new location. I am pleased that with this property we have found a property that exactly met our requirements and that we only had to modernise in the sense of sustainability.”

Rosenbauer has revenues in the region of €1 billion and currently operates from 17 production sites and 23 sales and service locations worldwide, delivering around 2,000 vehicles a year to 150 countries.
