Palfinger's new remote control

Austrian crane and aerial lift manufacturer Palfinger is scheduled to launch a new P6 Radio Remote Controller for its TEC (‘Technology’) loader cranes from January 2025.

Created in collaboration with Scanreco the controller is said to complement the Palcom P7 controller and complete the TEC range consisting of 11 models between 23.5 and 124.8 tonnes.

The P6 includes a 3.5 inch colour display, a redesigned linear lever and joysticks with an integrated acceleration sensor that automatically stops crane operation if a fall is detected. It is available in 10 console variants, allowing customisation to meet specific application needs.

The controller has a battery life of more than 20 hours and can be fitted with a second battery for an additional 20 hours of continuous operation.

Product manager Michael Völker said: “Direct customer feedback and cooperation with our partner Scanreco has resulted in a radio remote control that is geared towards the real requirements of everyday working life and will make work assignments even safer, more efficient and more comfortable in the future.”
