Second 700 tonner for King

UK rental company King Lifting has taken delivery of its second 700 tonne Liebherr LTM 1650-8.1 All Terrain crane.

The eight axle crane features a basic four section 54 metre boom which converts to a six section 80 metre boom when required. A 90 metre luffing jib is also available. Other features include the VarioBallast hydraulically variable counterweight system, Stage V diesels with Ecodrive and Ecomode fuel and emission saving devices and Variobase variable outrigger set up and monitoring.

Managing director Tristan King said: "We have seen a demand for this type of machine grow over the past three years since we took delivery of our first crane of this type. By adding this additional unit, it further demonstrates our commitment to supporting our clients with the latest equipment in the marketplace."
The crane has already completed its first job in Slough lifting data modules

Based in Bristol, King Lifting was established in 1982 by chairman Bob King and is currently the UK’s largest family owned crane rental company. In addition to its head office the company operates out of nine other locations, seven in England, one in Wales and one in Dublin, Ireland with 290 employees. Its 134 unit crane fleet runs from small spider cranes up to an 800 tonne All Terrain, with mobile self-erecting tower cranes and telescopic crawlers in between. In addition to crane rental it runs a machinery moving and installation division.
