Irish builders merchant Chadwicks has acquired the Irish operations of UK rental company HSS.
The deal - which is expected to close in the next month or two and is subject to CCPC clearance - will see HSS Hire Ireland join Chadwicks' network. HSS Hire fleet in Ireland includes aerial work platforms and specialist equipment hire, with a focus on data centres, renewable and IT sectors, and cleanroom environments.

Chadwicks - part of Grafton Group - operates from 56 locations across the Republic of Ireland. Founded in 1902 by William Thomas Chadwick at Talbot Place, Dublin, the company operates under multiple brands including Chadwicks, The Panelling Centre, Davies, Cork Builders Providers, Heiton Steel, Telfords, Proline, Morgans Timber and Sitetech.
The company employs more than 1,500 people and specialises in building materials, electrical supplies, paint, timber, bathroom equipment and general construction products.
