A lucky escape for crane and operator

The crane, a National Crane, had its full boom extended plus swingaway extension. It was lowering a piece of steel onto the building’s roof when it tipped.

The boom came to rest against the edge of the buildings roof and was later righted with little apparent damage to crane or buiiding.

The Stonehenge Company is the main contractor on the site. A spokesman is quoted as saying "We were setting some small steel members on the top of our middle building and somehow we had an imbalance with the crane,"
