JLG Expands in W.Oz
JLG has embarked on a major expansion in Perth, Western Australia in order to provide an improved level of service to its customers in Western and South Australia as well as the Northern Territory.
The expansion includes new premises, additional specialist staff and a total overhaul of spare parts arrangements and stock holdings.
JLG opened its first branch in Perth 13 years ago and has now outgrown it, the new premises, located nearby in Welshpool will be four times the size of the existing facility. Construction is due to begin shortly. JLG’s state manager for the region, Lindsay Phillips, is overseeing the expansion.

The expansion will also include doubling the current replacement parts inventory and reorganising the entire order intake to shipping process in order to improve on the current service.
Andrew Satterley, the company’s general manager for Australia and New Zealand said. “We are lifting our response to the needs of JLG equipment users all over Australia,”
“In Perth we’ll achieve this not just by building larger premises and employing new staff, but by creating a warehouse facility which sources its stock directly from JLG factories in Europe and America.
“This will ensure that spare parts reach users much sooner than would be the case if they were trans-shipped through Sydney. It’s a big step, but we are determined to provide the best possible customer support wherever JLG access equipment users are located.”
