Mini Crane Hire Midlands launched

West Midlands based Dewsbury & Proud today entered the mini crane rental market with the launch of Mini Crane Hire Midlands. Tim Proud, managing director, after looking at the changes that are happening within the heavy mobile crane rental sector and the difficulties in sourcing new mobile cranes took the decision to diversify into the rapidly expanding mini crane market.

At last years Vertikal Days exhibition he placed an order with Kranlyft UK for the supply of three Maeda mini cranes, - a LC785 and 2 MC285CRM-E both with radio remote control systems.

“We have a long association with Kranlyft which goes back more than 30 years when they sold us Kato mobile cranes," said Proud. "These machines were well engineered, reliable and operator friendly just like the Maeda machines. The mini cranes are compact yet very mobile so accessibility is vastly improved and considering the actual weights of the machines the lifting duties and jib lengths are excellent."

He continued: "Kranlyfts expertise in the industry coupled with 30 years of hiring cranes out has led us to our commitment to the Maeda range. It is our intention over the coming months to add our mini cane fleet with the larger MC305 and M405 fy jib model and we are looking at the specifications on the larger LC1385 which will be coming into the UK later this year”.
