Winter care
IPS, the UK based international parts and service company has launched a ‘Winter Care inspection’ for £69. The company says that the inspection will include a 10 point check aimed at helping keep equipment running smoothly and safely over the winter. It includes:
•Anti-freeze – Check and top up levels in diesel engines
•Battery check – report on state and levels
•Upper control box – check for water ingress and apply water repellant coating
•Hydraulic oil – report on oil level and condition
•Switches – check rubber boots and gators are intact
•Foot switch – check for water ingress
•Visual & audible warning devices – check/report on working order
•Anti slip matts – report on condition
•Safety/manual lowering devices – check and report
•Full function test – check and report any defects

This inspection is designed to pinpoint any excessive wear before it becomes a major problem and reducing the risk of breakdowns and costly repair work.
