New tracked self-erecting tower crane
Dutch rental company Kuiphuis Kraanverhuur has added a new seven tonne HRP477R crawler mounted self-erecting tower crane to its fleet.
The new crane uses a reconditioned superstructure from a second hand Spierings SK 477-AT4 mobile self-erecting tower crane, mounted to a new tracked chassis. The new crawler features a 38 metre jib, and a maximum lifting height of 42.15 metres with jib luffed to 30 degrees above horizontal. It can be operated from either the elevating cab or the ground with a remote controller.

With increased demand for a smaller tracked tower cranes, Kuiphuis initially contacted Spierings to see if it would add an SK477 crawler mounted model to its range, but with the production facility working close to full capacity, and other new products in development it had to decline.
So Kuiphuis teamed up with fellow rental company Herpertz Kraanverhuur and spent two years developing the new crane. The first unit has now been delivered and is fully CE compliant to 2016 standards and directives etc… and plated as a new crane. The second unit for Herpertz will be delivered in the coming weeks.
