Boom overturn in Kent
Two men were lucky to escape uninjured in Folkestone Kent, UK, yesterday after the boom lift they were using overturned when one of its wheels sunk into soft ground.
The lift - which appears to be a JLG 800AJ - came to rest on the riser knuckle and the chassis frame, leaving the platform in the air. The two men managed to remain in the platform as we understand they were wearing harnesses and lanyards. They were then rescued by the fire service.

One wheel sunk into the soft ground and the unit went over
A statement from Kent Fire and Rescue said: "Two men were stuck seven metres in the air on the cherry picker. It was in a precarious position. We made efforts to stabilise it and secure the equipment. The two men were lowered by the line rescue team and they were handed over to the paramedic teams at the scene."
