Safety checks unsafely
Snapped by someone earlier this week,a Southwest Airlines employee or contractor carrying out safety checks from the outside of a boom lift.
The airline grounded a large number of Boeing 737-300 aircraft after a structural failure on a flight this weekend. The grounded planes are now being checked, but it seems that the access methods leave a little to be desired.

A safety inspection operative not exacly using a boom lift safely
It looks as though this man sitting on the outside edge of the platform might have a harness on with a lanyard although if he does it is hard to see where it is anchored?
In the words of our reader who sent it in: “Here's an example, and I mean this with all due sarcasm, of the proper method of working at height from a boom lift. I'm not exactly certain where the lanyard for his harness is or where it may be anchored!”
Safety safely! A Death Wish … definitely – one slip and he’s down the side of the plane, unless after all he does have a lanyard attached?
He also has the sliding mid-rail tied up out of the way.
