New UK spider rental company
A new UK-based spider lift rental business -Spider Rentals -has been established in Rochdale and is now up and running.
The company has been founded and will be run by Liam Stericker who hopes to meet the increased demand for tracked spider lift platforms. Stericker, a 10 year powered access veteran – and most recently regional sales manager for Loxam Access – has purchased his first machine - a Platform Basket 18.90.

“I have been working within the powered access industry for 10 years and have seen an increase in demand for spider access equipment,” he said. “The specialist access sector is set to increase at a steady rate as these machines become recognised as a valid resolution to many & varied access problems.”
“After extensive research of the machines that are currently available, I chose to launch the company with a Platform Basket 18.90 purchased from Shaun Day at Promax Access. It is lightweight, compact, easily transportable, and very user friendly. However, the feature that impressed me the most is the capability to achieve 9.3 metres of outreach on a machine that only weighs 2300kg.”

The business has been trading for just five weeks but has a customer base including private, industrial and rehires and is already looking to add more machines. Based in north Manchester, the company is currently working throughout the North West.
