A 34ft Rough Terrain diesel boom lift, the AB10J with a new hydraulic system with high efficiency piston pump – which has also been integrated into a number of other boom lifts as part of their upgrades. The new model features a working height of 11.62 metre, an overall width of 1.85 metres, and an overall stowed height of 1.99 metres. Platform capacity is 250kg and it has a total weight of just under five tonnes. A one function pure vertical lift function is also standard. The AB10J has standard four wheel drive and oscillating axle. 30 units have already been built with a good number of them going to Australia.

The all new six metre/6,000kg compact telehandler, the TH 25-6, the unit on display was the first prototype, it will be able to take 2,000kg lo its fully lift, height and 800kg to its maximum 3.36 metre forward reach. It is powered by a Deutz diesel and weighs 4,950kg. It is expected to reach production by June next year. The company is targeting North America, Australia, the EU, UK and Turkey, although it hopes to develop a wider geographic market for its telehandler products.

Another new product and strategy are truck mounted lifts, the company has been producing them for the regional market for some time, but hopes to find a wider market for its new Hybrid models, starting out with the 31.5 metre GKS32L which features a six section telescopic boom and pedestal mounted platform. It is mounted on a small 3.5 tonne type chassis but has a Gross Vehicle Weight of just under 4.5 tonnes, and offers an outreach of 14,8 metres, a 28 metre unit has also been produced with a five section boom. The company is looking to sip the superstructures for mounting locally.

An upgrade to its 43ft and 53ft Rough Terrain scissors – both diesel and Electric which are now 500kg lighter, with improved travel performance, and greater efficiency.

New Tech

The new tech, included a skid steer turn on the spot option for electric 4x4 boom lifts which it has dubbed ‘Tank Turn’Turn. Essentially it allows the electric wheel motors on each axle to counter rotate. The demonstration of it in action was impressive – you would want non-marking of course and tyre wear would be an issue if used too often, But it could be very effective when in a tight squeeze.

Finally the ‘Panoramic Camera’ system uses strategically placed cameras on the chassis and superstructure to provide the operator of a large boom lift with a clear view of the ground, including the terrain and any obstacles, that might not be easily visible from 30 metres or so,

The new and upgraded models will be on display at Bauma China, which opens on Tuesday. We will follow up with more detail on each of the new new products over the coming weeks.
