New 53ft LGMG electric RT scissor
Chinese manufacturer LGMG has launched the SR1623E / SR5390E battery powered Rough Terrain scissor lift.
The SR1623E is based on the current SR1623D (SR5390D in N America) diesel model, with which it shares most of its componentry, while matching its key performance criteria. The principal difference between the two is that the E version uses a large AC electric motors in place of the diesel engine, driving the hydraulic pump for the lift, steer and jacks, and the centrally mounted transmisison with drive shafts to the telehandler type axles. The power is supplied by a large high capacity lithium ion battery pack.

The new LGMG SR1623E (or SR5390D)
The new electric model has an overall width of 2.3 metres, an overall length of 4.9 metres, and a working height of 17.9 metres. Dual deck extensions - 1.45 metres at the front and 1.14 metres to the rear - provide a 7.4 metre long extended platform with a maximum platform capacity of 680kg. Four wheel drive, oscillating axles and auto-levelling hydraulic levelling jacks are all standard.
Overall weight is around 8,200kg. – In other words, exactly the same as the D version. Which also means that the drive height is limited to 8.5 metres - roughly mid elevation.
The unit tops out LGMG’s 2.3 metre wide ‘23E’ series or Rough Terrain scissor lifts, which includes models from 12 metres working height and up with platform capacities from 1,100kg to 680kg.

Apparently it drives at full height in America but for some reason not allowed in Uk!

Very good point and one we missed - thank you. The final spec sheet for the E has not yet been published - but given that it is the same as the D model it will be 8.5 metres.
