Advanced spends £2 million with JCB

UK rental company Advanced Access Platforms has invested £2 million in 100 new JCB slab electric scissor lifts, and a number of telehandlers – including 360 degree models.

The telehandler order includes 5,500kg/26 metre 555-260R 360 degree units and several fixed frame models supplied by JCB dealer Greenshields JCB. The scissor lifts include 19ft S1930E, 26ft S2632E and 32ft S3246E models, which join 80 JCB scissor lifts already in the fleet.

Director John Corcoran said: “As a company we have always looked to invest in British manufacturers and the JCB electric scissor lifts fit perfectly into our powered access portfolio. They are consistent, easy to use and easy to service. They are ideal for our existing customer base which spans the commercial, industrial and media sectors and align with our ‘Advanced Eco’ promise of supplying electric and hybrid machines as standard wherever possible.

“JCB telehandlers are the best in the business, so we knew the 360 degree models would be first class too. That is proving to be the case with regular repeat business from customers due to their performance and reliability. Initially purchased for our clients in the TV and film industries, our industrial customers have learned about this investment and are now requesting to hire these fantastic products too.”

Advanced Access Platforms is based in Sutton, Surrey, and was established in 2007, and is member of the Access Link association of independent regional rental companies. If also has locations in Southampton, Northampton and Stratford-London.

Some people love to put a negative spin on things don’t they?

Congratulations to The Team at Advanced Access for your continued growth. Both JCB and Greenshields thank you for your business.

British built?
I agree with the comments below BUT does no one understand that the JCB access machines are built in India and not the UK? It could be that they have less British content than some French or American machines!!

I am as patriotic as they come but let's not go overboard here: JCB's Electric Scissors are made in India...

All the "buying british" rhetoric is funny. You all know that those scissor-lifts are built in China, and not even by JCB themselves right ? I'm all for home built product, but the bulk of this order wasn't that.

It's fantastic to see a British company investing in homegrown products. Buying British manufactured goods not only supports local businesses but also strengthens the national economy. By choosing to purchase goods made in the UK, companies contribute to job creation, promote sustainable growth, and improve overall prosperity within the country. Furthermore, buying British often ensures higher quality products, as they adhere to stringent standards and regulations. It's a win-win situation that boosts the local industry while delivering top-notch goods.
By sourcing products locally, companies can minimise the environmental impact associated with long-distance transportation and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Additionally, British manufacturers are increasingly adopting sustainable practices, such as using renewable energy sources and implementing eco-friendly production techniques. By supporting these environmentally conscious businesses, companies can contribute to the collective effort of reducing carbon emissions and promoting a greener future. So, kudos to Advanced Access for making a positive impact by prioritising British manufactured goods and reducing their carbon footprint in the process.
