UK rental company Marsden Crane Hire has taken delivery of the first 13 tonne Kato CR-130Rv city type All Terrain crane to arrive in the UK. The unit was purchased through the Kato distributor, Rivertek.
The crane was updated in December last year and features a six section 24 metre boom topped by a 3.6 to 5.5 metre hydraulic luffing jib, offsettable by 60 degrees for a maximum tip height of just less than 32 metres. A three tonne searcher hook is also standard equipment.
The crane’s overall length on the road is just under 7.5 metres, with an overall width of 1.99 metres and overall height of 2.87 metres. Total weight is only 13.83 tonnes, split roughly evenly between the two axles.
Lee Marsden of Marsden crane said: “We have owned and operated Kato cranes in our fleet now since 2018 and we are very satisfied with them. This new model offers increased operator comfort levels together with many other improvements and refinements over the previous model which are very welcome.”

“Customer feedback on this new model to date has been excellent and sales are strong with many deliveries planned over the next number of months. The new joystick controls are a welcome advancement with operators.”
Based in Wigan, the company was established in 2015 by brothers Brendan, Dale and Lee Marsden and runs a fleet of All Terrain up to 90 tonnes, city type All Terrains, spider and mini crawler cranes, as well as aluminium truck cranes.
