The platform will take some digging out

It seems that the incident occurred around 8:00pm/20:00 last night when the site was closed. The platform a 135ft JLG 1350SJ is owned by rental company Drammen Liftutleie. With no one on the premises apart from security there were no injuries. The contractors have been contacted for more information.

The rock slide occured overnight

UPDATE

The recovery has begun - is it worth rebuilding??

The machine is partially uncovered

Perhaps if it is rebuilt we can get some photos of it along the way with an indication of which parts were salvaged – the boom and basket? Not much else it seems.

With the risk of more material being dislodged, the person who has to work out how to recover it could be "stuck between a rock and a hard place"
