Liebherr to unveil hydraulic luffer
Liebherr has confirmed that it will have a prototype of its first hydraulic luffing jib tower crane - the 195 HC-LH 6/12 - at Bauma in October.
While the German manufacturer will be one of the last major tower crane companies to launch such a machine, it promises to bring new ideas to the market. The 195 HC-LH 6/12 can manage up to 2,550kg at the jib tip with a 55 metre radius when installed on the 1.6 metre square 16 EC tower system which can also be climbed.
While only the most basic specification details have been released and no photographs or drawings, the company says that the new crane will “stand out from the crowd when it comes to being easy to erect and very simple to transport.” It will also incorporate the company’s latest technology with features such as Litronic assistance and ‘Micromove’, the operating range limiting system, ‘level luffing’ and other Smart assistance systems and technologies.
We look forward to reporting more detail prior to the event.
