UK rental company Bronzeshield has taken delivery of its first 150 tonne Grove GMK 5150XL All Terrain.
The five axle crane has a seven section 68.7 metre main boom - one of the longest on a crane under 200 tonnes. The crane can lift 8.1 tonnes on the fully extended boom, 9.4 tonnes at 66 metres and 12.7 tonnes with 60 metres. It has been equipped with the 16.2 metre bi-fold swingaway extension and can carry up to 10.2 tonnes of counterweight within 12 tonne axle loadings and up to 30.9 tonnes in the UK where 16.5 tonne axle loads are possible.
Jim Leishman of Manitowoc/Grove said: "I would like to thank Bill and the staff at Bronzeshield for their continued business and for choosing the 5150XL."
Bronzeshield is based near Crayford, Kent, on the south east side of London. Its fleet includes All Terrains up to 500 tonnes, spider cranes and Spierings mobile self-erecting tower cranes. It also has depots in Bromsgrove, near Birmingham and Norwich in East Anglia.
