Piero Pagliero moves up

Earlier today we learnt of the sad and premature death of Piero Pagliero, on August 21st of this year, aged 70, he was one of the great pioneers of the truck mounted platform industry, barely two months ago he received an award, for 53 years of dedicated service to the company, from the Italian chamber of commerce.

Throughout those 53 years, he was the technical force behind the company, which he and his brother, Giorgio (who passed away in 1989) inherited from their father Lorenzo.

During his time at the helm Pagliero transformed the company to the point where the Pagliero name was known throughout Europe. His innovative ideas combined with an open mind towards innovation and resulted in the widely acclaimed Multitel range produced by Pagliero to this day.

As with Piero and Giorgio, Renzo and his brother Sandro Pagliero, will assume joint responsibility for the running of the family business.

Both Renzo and Sandro who have been in the business for more than 30 years, will take over as joint managing directors having been groomed for this over the past 15 years.
