Riding the AC

Sent by a reader in the Middle East, a classic Death Wish with a loader crane installing a new air conditioner.

It seems that the rigger felt it easier to ride the load to its final destination rather than walk up stairs. Sadly we have only received this close up so can’t see the operator and don't know quite how high it was. We understand that it occurred one morning earlier this week in Israel.

Riding the load to the upper floors

In addition to the risk of falling from the load, that web strapping does not look as though it is in its prime of life, and what this man’s weight is doing to the device itself is another thing.

We assume that the lift was completed without further incidence – this time – but it definitely qualifies as a Death Wish – both a crane and an access one.
