Smopyc attracted 85,000

-Of the 85.000 visitors, 90% of them were from contracting companies.

-Airo, the italian aerial work platform manufacturer has opened a Spanish distribution company, Airo España, the office will be in Valdemoro, Madrid, and they will sell Airo on a national basis.

-Dino Lift exhibited for the first time in Spain with Haulotte Iberica its new distributor.

-MOPSA, the Manitowoc distributor in Spain has sold its first two Manitowoc cranes to rental companies ALFA GRUAS and AGUADO.

- G.F.Lifting, the WUMAG distributor in Spain, has sold the first 70 m truck mounted platform to the Garpon, S.A., located in the north west of Spain. .

- TALLERES MONREPOS, is the new after sale service agent responsable of HIAB for Huesca and surrounding region.

- LIEBHERR in Smopyc, had the biggest stand of the show, with 4.000 square metres.

- TEREX had a selection of cranes including the Demag AC120-1 and AC55City making their first apearance in Spain.

- Spider type mini cranes have arrived in Spain with both UNIC and IMAI exhibiting for the first time.
-CTE is the distributor for IMAI, while SPAIN CRANE INTERNATIONAL is now distributing UNIC. Spain Crane’s manager Mr. Carstens, said that it had sold the first two Unic mini cranes to a rental company from the south East of Spain, Gruas Valeriano, the models are URW-A295CR y UR-A506CL

-The New Rigo RTT 904/2. was exhibited, a four axle compact 100tonne All Terrain model, with 49,2 m fully hydraulic main boom,.

- INDUSTRIAS LANEKO, Spanish manufacturer of trailers, will open a new location in Cordoba in June. It will be called TRAYL-SUR.

- The Spanish aerial working platforms association ANAPAT confirmed that it will hold its annual meeting in Salou (Tarragona) over three days in May, 6, 7 and 8th.

- Motorman, the Spanish manufacturer of Rated Load Indicators and remote controls has confirmed that it has opened a new office in Miami to sell in the north American market.

- P&M 2000 launched Nifty 120 T on the Spanish market at the show.

- Umesa one of Spains largest rental company's has adquired the new Oil&Steel 35 m Eagle 3526 truck mounted platform from Oil & Steel. This model has a 26 m outreach. Umesa is one of the biggest rental companies of aerial working platforms as well as truck mounted platforms.

-Umesa is also now distributing Hydro Mobile mast climbing platforms from Canada.
