New crane manpower company in UK

A new company has been formed in North West England to provide crane operators, slinger signallers, Appointed Persons and lift managers.

The company Edwards Lifting Services has been established by Rob Edwards, formerly with Specialist Crane Hire (the company formed out of Jardine, Marsden and Telford Crane Hire) with a view to offering manpower services to other crane rental companies.

Edwards believes that the new venture will find favour providing extra support during busy periods, for holiday cover, sickness or to cover other staffing issues particularly for longer term contracts. In addition to staffing can supply essential equipment such as nylon outrigger mats, two way radios and work at height equipment etc…

Rob Edwards

Edwards said: “I have worked for Specialist for 15 years but now feel the time is right for me to challenge myself with this new venture. In addition to working with local companies I am hoping to provide a service to companies located outside of the North West who may be travelling cranes into the area and need additional experienced staff.”
