Staning on an elevated tipper our man directs operations
In the words of our correspondent – an Australian based reader of Vertikal.net: “Please see attached some pictures I took while on holiday in Japan. They were taken in Ryoguku, Tokyo, at a construction site. The guy is seen standing on the tip tray ladder, directing the excavator operator where to place each bucket of dirt and rock.”
“Should the excavator hit the tip tray, the guy would be thrown off from the rebound, with a very high risk of spinal injuries. He appears to be wearing some sort of fall restraint device around his waist, but it is not in use, as can be seen in the second photo.”

Not satisfied with the view he climbs further
“Notice that the tip tray is also elevated, which puts him about 20ft off the ground. This also poses the risk of hydraulic failure, and definite injuries as a result.”
A definite work at height Death Wish
