A trailer mounted platform with a difference

The user has taken old heavy duty warehousing shelving and lashed it to a trailer. Forget any mention of toe-boards the platforms are made of an ad-hoc mix of planks and there is no safe way to climb up to the top although the user has a short step ladder to hand which probably adds to the danger.

The situation is perhaps best described in the words of our correspondent:
“Perhaps another Death Wish from Arizona, USA. I spotted this near Valle, while on the way home from a crane job 15 miles south of Grand Canyon National Park last week.”

“The gentleman was repainting the sign from what I could gather, he left on a break while I was pulling over to photograph. Looks like an endless combination of sketchy access solutions. It is noteworthy that in the name of safety the warehouse shelving appears to be lashed down to the trailer across the bottom horizontals and, yes, it was as far from plumb as it appears!”

Spot the errors...a closer look reveals how unsafe this set up really is

“The partially flat tire on the trailer only adds to the excitement. Maybe the first Vertikal.net contest is in order- How many unsafe practices can you find in this picture? A fair distance from available access solutions but that pales in comparison to the heart ache that could result here.”

Given that the user could fall while climbing, fall through the platform planks while working, or the whole set up could fall off the trailer, not to mention how it performs while towing? It is a most definite Death Wish.
