Climbing in San Diego

Spotted on a job site in San Diego, California, a man working on reinforcing bars for a concrete column. His chosen access method? Simple – climbing, in spite of the fact that he is working on at least the fifth floor and a crane is working overhead.

Working at height without equipment

While our pictures are taken from some distance it is possible to see that the man is working on the rebar.. adding ties or something. It looks as though he may be wearing a harness, but why he has not been better equipped it is hard to say.
All manner of access equipment can be easily rented in the San Diego area so there is really no excuse for such primitive methods.
