Safe or lethal?
A reader in the UK, spotted a multi configuration ladder advertised in his weekend newspaper that includes a platform. But is it a safe form of access or a potentially lethal Death Wish device?
This type of ladder is exceptionally versatile and stable with outriggers top and bottom, or when used as a step ladder on both legs. However the one we have clearly states that it should never be used as a platform in any configuration.

The ladder-come-platform as advertised in the newspapers
Yet this one shows a man perched on a narrow platform over three metres up, now you could argue that this might be safer than climbing on the roof? In the words of our reader: “I have just seen this advertised in the Daily Mail supplement and thought you may be interested. I suppose it is cheaper than a one way ticket to Dignitas in Switzerland.” We tend to agree - it qualifies as a Death Wish.
What do you think?
