The Rapier 6 tonne crane needs saving
The Rapier H7 was a common feature at railway stations and good yards all the world over - from the UK to Australia and featured in the Thomas the tank engine books by the reverend Awdry as Kevin the crane.

Any surviving examples are rapidly disappearing which is a great shame for what is a classic, if not iconic mobile crane. If someone with the space and possibly engineering apprentices that would work on such a restoration could take on this project we would be delighted to chart the progress here and in our magazines.
