First UK Hinowa 20:10 Performance IIIS
UK rental companies GT Access and Hire! Freeman have become the first UK customers for the new Hinowa Lightlift 20.10 Performance IIIS spider lift which was launched at Bauma earlier this year.
The 20:10 offers a 20 metre working height, with 9.7 metres of outreach and an unrestricted platform capacity of 230kg. Its lift mechanism comprises a dual arm sigma riser, telescopic boom and articulated jib.
It is just 800mm wide and under two metres high – total weight is 2,800kg. Other features include one touch outrigger setting, levelling and retraction, auto speed control taking into account ground conditions and track width extension status and wireless remote controls.
The control panel display also alerts the owner when the machine is due for a service and allows the owner to remotely monitor the machine’s location and operation – as well as remotely diagnose faults.
Hire! Freeman’s investment follows an earlier purchase of a Hinowa Goldlift 14.70 spider lifts, Niftylift HR12 self-propelled boom lift and two Nifty 170 trailer-mounted lifts.

Hire! Freeman's new Hinowa 20:10 went straight to work
Managing director John Freeman said: “We supply a lot of access solutions to owners of historic buildings such as stately homes and churches. We need machines that can overcome the multiple challenges of these job sites, such as obstacles, narrow access points and disturbed or uneven ground, as well as requiring significant working height and outreach.”
“The Hinowa 20.10 is a beautifully engineered machine that is really well thought out and has great all-round performance – three speed drive, full working envelope at 230kg safe working load, automatic outrigger levelling and very compact dimensions.”
GT Access already has one of the largest fleets of Hinowa spider lifts in the country, based in Bromsgrove, near Birmingham, it also has depots in Gloucester, Hereford, Shrewsbury and Stoke.
Managing director Jonathan Till said: “The 20.10 is a great addition to the Hinowa range and is a good fit between the 23 and 17 metre models in our fleet. The machine has been out on hire ever since we purchased it, with one customer after another, which is the best possible endorsement in my eyes.”
