Huisman Brazil receives first orders
Dutch based heavy lift and offshore specialist Huisman has received the first order for its new production facility in Brazil – see

The order, placed by Brazilian multi-national energy and oil production company Petrobras, consists of three identical sets of five cranes which are intended for the three drilling vessels, Cassino, Curumim and Salinas, currently being built at the company’s Rio Grande shipyard.
Each vessel will include two 60 metre/tonne pedestal mounted offshore cranes, two 60 metre/tonne knuckle boom cranes and a 12 metre/tonne pipe handling knuckle boom crane. The first set of cranes is scheduled to be installed on the Cassino in 2015 with the remaining cranes scheduled for the Curumim and Salinas in 2016 and 2017 respectively.

Huisman's proposed facility in Brazil
The cranes will be used for various applications, including unloading of supply vessels, pipe handling, offshore construction work, and subsea installation.
Huismann has also received orders for three 550 metre/tonne tiltable lay systems from Subsea 7 as well as two 650 metre/tonne and two 340 metre/tonne tiltable lay systems from Technip-DOF.
