Isle of Man based rental company Mann Crane Hire has taken delivery of a 60 tonne Grove GMK3060L-1 All Terrain crane, the company’s first Grove crane purchase in 20 years.
The three axle crane features a seven section 48 metre main boom plus an 8.7 to 15 metre bi-fold swingaway extension for a maximum on board tip height of 65 metres. The crane can also travel with up to 7.5 tonnes of counterweight within 12 tonne axle loadings.
managing director Chris Barnes said: “We needed a compact and manoeuvrable crane that could efficiently travel across the whole island and work in smaller spaces, as we handle a lot of tight locations. The GMK3060L-1 offers impressive dimensions and a class leading boom, so it was exactly what we needed.”
The crane has already completed its first two jobs relocating a modular classroom at a local school and replacing glass panels at Pulrose Power Station.
Established 36 years ago, Mann Crane Hire is a family business providing lifting services across the Isle of Man, located between England and Ireland. It runs a fleet of All Terrains ranging from 40 to 70 tonnes.
