Access industry scoops awards
Access rental companies scooped a third of this year’s IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health) safety awards.
Nationwide Platforms won the award for Best Health and Safety Achievement in Transport and Logistics, for its programme that has laid down best practice guidelines and helped improve the design of transport trailers, significantly reducing lost time, near misses and first aid incidents both on the road, during delivery and loading on site.

IOSH issues 10 awards each year, with each being judged by a panel of 12 health and safety independent experts drawn from a wide number of major industrial companies and independent safety advisors. It does though require companies to submit well prepared formal entries in order win. However what this year’s results do show is that the powered access industry is coming of age and winning recognition in the wider world.
