Vertikal Days is next week
Vertikal Days, the UK and Ireland's dedicated event for access and lifting equipment, is just a week away and looks set to be the largest and most successful in its eight year history.
With more than 200 manufacturers, dealers or service providers represented, there will also be a good number of new products on show making their world, European or UK debuts.
The two day event will be held on the Wednesday 14th and Thursday 15th and is located at its usual location at Haydock Park, just off junction 23 of the M6 motorway. The show opens at 10am on both days with complementary tea, coffee and refreshments served all day in the Marketplace as well as lunch being served in the dining area between 12.30 and 14.30.

IPAF and CPA will also be out in force with IPAF highlighting the importance of maintenance, inspection and thorough examination of aerial work platforms, and CPA hosting its Stars of the Future apprentice awards ceremony on the Wednesday as well as the UK Strategic Forum Plant Safety Group Outreach meeting on Thursday.

If you are a loader crane operator and fancy your abilities at operating one then you should consider entering ALLMI’s ‘Operator of the Year’ competition. Now in its fourth year and forming the centre-piece to the ALLMI Village, operators will be timed to place loads at specific points in a specific sequence with time penalties incurred for any dangerous movements. Not only will the operator with the fastest time walk away with the 'Operator of the Year' title and trophy, there’s also a £250 cash prize as well as a free ALLMI training course and use of the competition logo.

Also of great interest will be the Marketplace which not only hosts numerous suppliers - including software specialist, training companies, safety equipment, parts and other services for the access and lifting industries - but also provides a great place to grab a cup of tea or coffee along with homemade refreshments whilst escaping from the hopefully blazing sunshine or possibly unwanted downpours.
With so much to do and be seen it is little wonder that this year looks set to break all records in being the best Vertikal Days to date. For further details on the show or to obtain the free entrance tickets please register online on the Vertikal Days website:

Leigh
I know how much you and your team contribute to making Haydock a success.
If there are any young people out there who have just joined the rental industry either persuade your boss to allow you to attend or use up a days holiday and you will learn so much and if you put yourself about you will meet people who can influence what is the best career available without having the luxury of a degree.
Sadly I won't be able to attend this year but have a good show Leigh.
Regards
