First SX-180 in Africa
South African access rental company Goscor Access Rental has taken delivery of the first Genie SX-180 in Africa.
The machine was ordered during the Bauma Africa exhibition in September last year, but with the long lead times the machine only now arrived at the company’s premises at Chloorkop in Kempton Park, South Africa.

The new boom is unloaded
Company directors George Landsberg and Dean Jones were on hand to supervise the off-loading of the machine at their premises and they were itching to put the new unit to work. However the company has decided to take a further two weeks to introduce the machine to the Goscor Access sales staff and field service technicians with an intensive training programme to ensure that they are all fully qualified to look after the machine going forward. The SX180 was also unveiled to a number of customers at a special open day on the company’s premises.
