IMES inspection services accredited
Scottish marine and subsea company IMES has received accreditation from the UK Accreditation Service (UKAS) for its crane and lifting inspection services.
Following a full assessment of the company’s principles, practices and procedures, it gained the ISO 17020:2012 accreditation as a Type C body. It claims it is one of the first in its sector to be accredited to the 2012 standard.
Jason Smith, IMES chief operating officer, said: “This transition to the new industry standard is a further endorsement of the high quality of our company’s processes and procedures, particularly our crane and lifting services. This honour speaks volumes of the knowledge and expertise of our team. We are extremely proud of the breadth of accreditation and certifications held by IMES which continues to present new opportunities for business growth.”
