Crane rigging fatality
A man died yesterday while helping dismantle a lattice boom crane at a site in Edwardsville, southern Illinois.
Justin Jokerst, 31, was working for a subcontractor employed by Brinkmann Constructors on a new warehouse build, when he was crushed under the boom of the Grove HL150T crane as it was lowered.
Investigators from the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration were due on the scene to investigate the cause of the incident.
