Barnhart acquires in Illinois

Barnhart Crane and Rigging has acquired E.J. Cattani & Sons of Ladd, Northern Illinois.

Cattani was established in 1966 and was owned by Bill Cattani and Paul Bazydlo, no details of the transaction have been released. Neither has either party yet commented on the deal, which according to staff was completed a week ago.

We understand that the business will continue to operate from the same premises with the same staff, but will be merged into the Barnhart network, while maintaining the Cattani name.

Cattani claims to be the largest crane rental company in the area and operates a modern fleet with cranes up to a 500 tonne Demag (Terex) AC1200, and eight Liebherr All Terrain cranes in the 100 to 300 tonne range. It also runs a fleet of boom and scissor lifts.
