Danish telematics and tracking company Trackunit has launched a fleet management tool - ‘Specialty Equipment Solution’. The system allows fleet managers to collect data from its machines, providing control over units working in remote or difficult to reach environments.
The Specialty Equipment Solution supports Modbus, a widely used equipment communication protocol, which is said to enhance Trackunit's IoT platform. This integration reduces paperwork and operating costs while providing machine health information through a single interface.

Product & marketing officer, Lærke Ullerup said: “With our Specialty Equipment Solution, we are capturing key controller data from complex machines such as generators, pumps and compressors etc.. which has in the past been a real challenge. Additionally, when companies rent out the equipment they know exactly how long they are/have been working for, such as clocking double shift usage for machines rented out for single shifts.
Established in 2013 and based in Aalborg, Denmark, Trackunit has offices in the UK, Europe, North America and Singapore.
