Jekko articulates in Germany
Jekko has developed a version of its 2.5 tonne capacity SPX 424 spider crane aimed at the German market.
The new Jekko SPX 424 CDH features a three section hydraulic luffing telescopic jib. The effect is to convert the standard crane into an articulated spider crane with a reach of 13.5 metres, compared to a tip height of 9.5 metres on the standard crane’s five section main boom. In spite of the extra attachment and reach, the overall weight remains at 2,300kg, allowing it to be towed on a two axle trailer in Germany.

Ulrich Wohlgemuth of Jekko Germany said: “With our new sales and service network we are well prepared for our business in 2015. All German partners successfully completed their on-site training in 2014 and have familiarised themselves with both the technology and its multiple applications.”
“The Jekko range means we can cover all applications within various sectors. The focus is on the Jekko SPX 424 CDH for 2015. It’s the only crane of its class which can be transported on a flatbed trailer with a payload of 3.5 tonnes. That’s one of its competitive advantages which immediately increases its added value in utilisation.”
Jekko dealers in German include Nordkran, a subsidiary of Arbeitsbühnen Buchtmann covering Northern Germany, KDF Glaslogistik, which covers the Berlin and Brandenburg region and BSI, Baumaschinenservice International of Dortmund, which is responsible for the Ruhr region. Bavarialift is responsible for Bavaria and Baden-Wuerttemberg, while Mirko Niehues of Hassloch near Ludwigshafen provides service to Hessen and the Rheinland-Palatinate regions.
