Two 750 tonners for Windhoist
Irish based wind turbine erection specialist Windhoist has purchased two 750 tonne Liebherr LTM 1750-9.1 All Terrain cranes.
The two new machines, have been ordered fully equipped for wind turbine duties. The first job for the new cranes was in Scotland at the Strathy North Wind Farm, where the company has a contract to erect 33 Senvion MM82 turbines.

The LTM 1750 was rigged in TYVEN configuration, with 49 metres of main boom, a nine metre jib support extension, 28 metres of luffing jib, Y-Guy boom suspension and 124 tonnes of counterweight. Each rotor star weighs 42 tonnes, while the nacelles are 73 tonnes.
Liebherr area sales manager, Brian Lang said: “Windhoist has been a fantastic customer for Liebherr for many years, and we are delighted that they have chosen Liebherr once again”.
