New 50 tonne Sennebogen

Sennebogen launched the new 50 tonne capacity 653E telescopic crawler crane with full power boom at Vertikal Days last week. The 653E adds to the company's range of telescopic crawlers with capacities from eight to 120 tonnes.

The 30.4 metre four section full power boom can be quickly extended with a 6.5 to 13 metre offsetting swingaway extension for a maximum tip height of 45.4 metres.

Sennebogen has launched the new 50 tonne capacity 653E telescopic crawler crane with full power boom

The tracked undercarriage of the 653, which has load charts for working on inclines up to four degrees and can pick & carry its full capacity, is three metres wide when retracted and extend to 4.5 metres for maximum lift capacities and stability. At 5.34 metres long the tracks can be fitted with optional 800 mm wide track shoes, giving lower ground pressure and improved stability. Overall height is under 3.2 metres.

The full power boom can be continuously extended and retracted to a length of 30.4 metres. A fly boom extends the maximum reach height to 43.4 metres.

The 15 degree tilting cab has automatic air conditioning and a spring-cushioned seat. An optional hydraulic cab elevator and standard camera system also improve the overview of the work area.

Power comes from a Cummins Tier 4 Final diesel and the crane is equipped with two axial piston drive winches, with line speeds up to 115 metres a minute.

The Sennebogen Sencon control and diagnostics system shows all operating parameters and features an easy, intuitive user control, as well as the ability to process error messages quickly. It also monitors the load moment limitation system.

The 15 degree tiltable Maxcab comfort cab has automatic air conditioning and a spring-cushioned.

Vertikal Comment

This new crane was unusually first see in January as a Grove GHC55, as the smallest of the three Sennebogens that Manitowoc sells in the Americas, it was only a matter of time before we saw the green Sennebogen version.

The new model looks like a strong heavy duty contender in the mid sized telescopic crawler crane market.
