Another application

A Turkish football manager, banned from entering his club’s stadium for 285 days, rented a loader crane with a work platform - one of the most popular forms of powered access in Turkey - in order to watch the game over the perimeter wall last weekend.

Hamit Isik manages third division team Corum Belediyespor, but has been banned by the Professional Football Discipline Committee (PFDK) for his insulting and aggressive behaviour toward referees after one of his players was sent-off during a game against Darıca Gençlerbirliği two weeks ago. The team also received a one match stadium ban due to abusive chants from the club’s supporters.

Isisk was joined in the platform by Fatih Özcan, the club’s manager of financial affairs. We could not spot any sign of a harness and lanyard on either of the two, in spite of being set up in the street where they might get clipped by a passing vehicle.

A platform was also constructed outside the stadium for banned supporters to watch the game on a massive screen.
