Two crawlers for Viking
Estonian crane rental company Viking Cranes has purchased its first two Liebherr crawler cranes, joining Liebherr All Terrain and tower cranes in its fleet.
The rental company placed orders for a 300 tonne LR 1300 and a 160 tonne LR 1160 during a visit to the Liebherr plant in Nenzing in April. Both cranes will be delivered next month.
The LR 1300 has been ordered with a full superlift system - derrick boom/back mast and ballast trailer - 86 metres of main boom and a 41 metre luffing jib. The crane’s first job will be a series of heavy lifts at the Estonian port of Paldisk.
The LR 1160 has been ordered with 58 metres of main boom and 44 metres of luffing jib. Its first contract will be at an iron ore mine in Kiruna, northern Sweden.
