New flagship for Hüffermann

German crane rental company Hüffermann Krandienst has taken delivery of the 500 tonne Liebherr LTM 1500-8.1 All Terrain crane which was ordered at the start of the year – see: 500 tonner for Hüffermann.

The company said after taking delivery of a 350 tonne Liebherr LTM 1350-6.1 last year, it has received a rising number of inquiries for an even larger crane. The eight axle LTM 1500-8.1 is now the largest crane in its fleet, and features a 50 metre main boom and a 91 metre luffing fly jib. It will be used for repowering and tower erection in the wind industry, heavy lifting work in gas and petrochemical refineries, bridge building and infrastructure projects.

Based in Wildeshausen, Hüffermann Krandienst operates a fleet of 35 mobile cranes, previously topped by its 350 tonne Liebherr LTM 1350-6.1. The company also has a trailer manufacturing division - Hüffermann Transportsysteme - which produces up to 1,000 trailers a year.
