Modulift and IMES form JV

Modular spreader beam manufacturer Modulift has formed a joint venture partnership with Scottish marine and subsea inspection company IMES - Lift Management Services - to provide an international integrated service for all ‘below the hook’ operations.

Lift Management Services will support companies which require management of its lifting projects, in particular where spreader beams, lifting beams or lifting frames need to be designed and/or supplied. It will deliver project management from design engineering to full on-site support.

The joint venture is made up of a team of lifting engineers, project consultants, rig planners and on-site support, and also offers fully certified and approved products.

Modulift managing director Sarah Spivey, said: “The Lift Management Services partnership reflects the growing demand for a more involved, in-depth service. As lifting projects grow in scale and ambition, so does the need for a careful and complete planning and execution process below the hook – and that's where we believe this joint venture comes into its own.

IMES executive chairman Rod Buchan, added: “This new market offering is all about safety and efficiency. It incorporates all the relevant risk assessment and traceability elements, while also complying with all regulatory and legislative requirements.”
