First SX-150 in Europe
Danish re-rental company Steiness Liftcenter has taken delivery two 150ft Genie SX-150 boom lifts – among the first to be delivered in Europe.
Launched at The Rental Show in New Orleans earlier this year, the SX-150 offers four pre-programmable working heights of 48, 43), 38 and 33 metres with a platform capacity of 340kg as well as over 24 metres of outreach – 21 metres at a height of 36 metres.
Sharing the same chassis and principal components of the 180ft SX-180 and ZX-135, features include a rotating three metre articulated jib, a 7.5kW on-board generator to power tools and a Deutz Tier 4 final engine without the need for Diesel Particulate Filters.

Steiness Liftcenter owner Poul Steiness, said: “The price versus expectation for a high utilisation-rate is extraordinarily good for the Genie SX-150. It has a large working envelope both in height and reach with a 340kg capacity on a rotating jib arm. The unrestricted working envelope provides one of the biggest advantages, which meets the challenging needs of the developing housing construction market in Denmark.”
“We are always looking to provide our customers with safe and economical solutions to working at height. Therefore, we have been eagerly anticipating the arrival of the new lift and we expect to have good utilisation from the start. The ease of operation and drive at height capabilities makes this machine ideal for the rental market. I am looking forward to hearing feedback from our customers about their experiences over the coming months.”
Based in Copenhagen, Steiness Liftcenter has a fleet of 300 aerial work platforms, telehanders and glass lifters. It also has two 180ft Genie SX-180s, which it took delivery of last November, as well as a number of Genie TRAX boom lifts.
