Record year for System Lift

System Lift, the German franchise association of independent rental companies, has reported that 2014 financial year was its most successful year so far.

The details were released at the organisation’s recent Annual General Meeting. Consolidated revenues from the rental of work platforms and forklifts grew by 12 percent to €147 million, from a combined fleet said to number around 10,100 units. The organisation has 70 members, operating from 80 locations.

The company also announced that it has paid €3.44 million in dividends to its members, all of whom are shareholders in the franchise company. The association generates revenues from centralised services such as marketing, advertising and training, including System-Card training, all of which saw strong demand in 2014. The System Lift-Academy now offers a wide range of seminars for owners, managers, salesmen, dispatchers and technicians to partner companies.

From next year System Lift also plans to offer its members a new Occupational Health and Safety advisory service, stressing the need to work to the highest safety standards.

Chief executive Leopold Mayrhofer said: "Now is the time to carry out changes, educate yourself and motivate employees through continuing education. Whoever turns the screw, has nothing to fear from increased competition."
