AhernIT acquires telematics company

Ahern Information Technologies which specialises in rental fleet tracking solutions has acquired Wyless Telematics now named Progressive Platforms, from Wyless, a supplier of managed services.

Ahern IT and Wyless have an ongoing partnership and Ahern IT has been a customer of Wyless' for more than a year, using Wyless managed cellular connectivity to help track the Ahern Rentals fleet, using several mobile phone carriers through a single central point. Ahern Rentals is planning to have over 40,000 machines connected through the Wyless' network by the end of 2016.

Progressive Platforms offers cloud-based fleet management and telematics applications on a world-wide, covering more than 120 countries. It combines telematics hardware from CalAmp, with an intuitive, user-friendly programmable platform providing fleet information to customers.
