Platformers better than ever
Platformers Days opened in Hohenroda, Germany this morning to bright sun and a record number of exhibitors with several worldwide new product launches. Here is just a brief glimpse at a few of them – more later.

This is probably the best Platformers Days event so far?
Most of the truly new products are vehicle mounts, in addition to Ruthmann's new T360 and T170, GSR unveiled the B200PX Compact a new 20 metre 3.5 tonne articulated truck mounted lift that realistically meets the 3,500kg maximum limit with fuel, occupants and basic equipment. And yet it offers a 300kg platform capacity, 140 degrees of platform rotation, 8.7 metres of unrestricted outreach and a nine metre up and over height.

Another all new product came from trailer and aluminium crane manufacturer Klaas which unveiled its first proper truck mount, the 25 metre Theo 25 on a 3.5 tonne chassis with 250kg platform capacity with an outreach of just over 12 metres, or up to 17 metres with 100kg.

Snorkel is also out in force with new direct sales operation Ahern Deutshland making its debut, while a new Teupen company surface under the guide of TGT – Teupen Glass Technik? Headed by glass handling specialist Heinz Teupen the company distributes Böcker aluminium cranes and hoists and now also offers glass handling robots and now spider cranes.

Oil & Steel unveiled two new Scorpion telescopic truck mounts on 3.5 tonne chassis, the 2112J with telescopic boom and articulating jib offering 12 metres of outreach, and the 23 metre straight telescopic Scorpion 2313 with 13 metres of outreach.
